Forged Force
Privacy
Updated 1 November 2026 · plain words first, details below
In short. We keep what the game needs to run: your player, your matches, your account if you save one, and your purchases if you make any. Only if you say yes, we also use your play data (how you play) to improve the game and to pick the ads you see on the billboards in the maps. Today those ads are all our own: Deet Studios, the studio that makes Forged Force, and WorldStreet, another of our products. With your player we keep only the first part of your network address, never the whole of it. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we never sell your data. You can say no, change your mind, or delete your data in Settings → Privacy.
Who we are
Forged Force is made by Deet Studios. For anything on this page, including a request about your data: Settings → Network → Send a report in the game (write your request in the note).
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
| Your player: the name you pick, a random player id, your level and XP, your saved look and guns, your friends, the players you block, your friend code, and the devices you play on (when each signed in and was last used, the first part of its network address, which names a network and not your device, and a scrambled code of the browser's name) | To let you play, keep your progress, find friends, and show and end your signed-in devices (Sign out everywhere) | Always (you can delete your player) |
| Your account: your email, and your password stored only as a one-way hash we can't read back | To sign you in on any device and keep your progress safe | Only if you save an account |
| Match stats: in online matches, your kills, deaths, damage, the guns you used, how long you lived and played, when you left, your ping band and reconnects, with your player id and the name you played under | To run matches, keep your level, your match history and the leaderboards, and balance the weapons and maps | Always: the game needs them |
| Purchases: what you bought, the price and currency, when, the payment's status and the payment provider's reference for it, your Brass balance and every change to it, and the items you own | To give you what you paid for, handle refunds, stop fraud, and keep a record of the money | Only if you buy. Buying needs a saved account |
| Play data: when you play and for how long, the screens you reach, the features you use, how you arrived (directly, from an invite, or from the installed game), your device type (phone, tablet or computer; touch, keys or a controller; the graphics level) and your time zone, tied to a random id that lasts one visit and to your player id | To see where the game confuses or loses people and fix it, and to pick which of our billboard ads you see more often (for example ads made for touch players, or for evening players) | Only if you say yes. We ask everyone, and you can turn it off any time |
| Counts with no id at all: errors on your device (a screen that didn't load) and which billboard ads were on screen, saved and visited, with your country | To fix bugs and report to advertisers how often their ads were seen, never who saw them | Unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track (and in Europe, ad counts only with your yes) |
| Your age answer: that you said you are 18 or older, the year you were born and when you said it (never your birthday); if you said under 18, only that | Forged Force is for adults (Terms §1): online play, saved accounts and the Store need it | On your device before your first online match; with your account when you save one or claim a Store gift, and an under-18 answer at once |
| Your country, worked out from your time zone or the connection | To follow each country's rules and see where players come from | With the match stats, play data and counts above. When the connection is used, the address is looked up and dropped, never stored |
| Problem reports: what happened in the game on your device (its steps, connection states and errors), your device, browser, screen size and language, the game's version, your in-game name, and any note you write | To find and fix what went wrong, and to read your request if you write one in the note | When you tap Send a report, and once by itself (at most every 10 minutes) when a room connection fails |
| Player reports: when you report a player, who you reported, the reason you picked, any note you write, the room and where in the game; the report never goes to them | To deal with players who break the rules (Terms §6) | When you tap Report on a player |
| The Lobby (the public feed on Home): the quick-chat phrases you send (stored as which phrase, with your player and the time), what you answered, and cards about your play: a match you won, your first match, a level you reached, a room you posted | To show everyone who's playing and let players say hi and find a match | When you send a phrase, and when a match ends |
| Your full network address, briefly: counters keyed by it | To stop password guessing, spam and attacks on the servers | Always, for a few minutes and an hour at most |
Voice chat goes through our game server live, to the players who can hear you, and is never recorded or kept. The Lobby takes preset phrases and emotes only: you can't type your own words there. We don't collect your real name, contacts, location beyond your country, or anything about you from other sites. Billboard ads in the game never open anything during a match, and the ads we show are never chosen from what other companies know about you. If we ever show paid ads from other companies, your play data will never be used to aim them at you (Terms §7).
Why we're allowed to use it
- To give you the game you asked for: your player, account, match stats, purchases and your age answer.
- Because you said yes: play data, and choosing our ads from it. You can take your yes back any time; that doesn't undo what was done before.
- To keep the game safe and working: problem reports, counts with no id, the network-address counters, and server logs.
- To keep the records a business must keep: payments and refunds.
Who else sees it
- Other players see your name, level and look in menus and matches, hear you on voice chat, and can open your profile: your level, lifetime stats, kills by gun and recent matches. Leaderboards show your name and scores. Everyone 18 and over who opens the Lobby sees the phrases you send there and its cards about your play (a win, your first match, a level), with your name. Only your friends see whether you're online and which room you're in. Players can find you in Friends by the start of your name unless you turn off Let players find me by name in Settings → Privacy.
- The people who make Forged Force see play data and match stats as totals on a private page, and read problem reports.
- Microsoft Azure hosts our server, in South Africa North (Johannesburg). Everything above is stored there.
- Flutterwave takes payments. When you buy Brass, we send it your account email, your in-game name and the amount. You pay on Flutterwave's own page, and it handles your card or bank details under its own privacy policy. We never see them.
- If we email you about your account (confirming your email, or a password reset), the email goes out through Resend, which gets your email address.
- A bot check can appear when you save an account, use Forgot password, sign in after several wrong passwords, or send a problem report. It is Cloudflare Turnstile: Cloudflare sees your network address and details of your browser. When a room connection fails and the game sends its own problem report, it runs the same check in the background first, and sends nothing if the check doesn't pass.
- In a local room (players on the same network), your device asks a Google server for your network's public address, so the devices can find each other.
- No analytics company, ad network or data broker receives your data, and we never sell it.
Some of these companies work outside your country and outside South Africa, including in the United States, so your data can be handled there. We use each one only for the job above.
On your device
The game keeps these in your browser's storage: your settings and controls, your sign-in, your age answer, your play-data answer, your progress through the tour and tips with a short log of them (it never leaves your device), voice settings, the Lobby's settings (the last line you saw, players you muted there, Hide public chat, a Fight night reminder), ads you saved (for a day), how often the "install the game" offer has shown, and copies of the game's files so it loads fast. We set one cookie, to keep you signed in, and no advertising or tracking cookies. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all of it from your device.
How long we keep it
- Single events (one match, one visit): 90 days, then deleted.
- Your daily summary (days you played, matches, the device you used most): 13 months, then deleted.
- Totals with no player in them (for example "1,240 matches on Fog Stair this week"): kept to see trends. Hourly totals: 5 weeks.
- Your player and account, with your match history, Brass and items: until you delete your player.
- A finished match's record keeps the name and stats of everyone in it, so the name you played under stays in that record after you delete your player.
- Payment records: kept after you delete your player, without your player attached, as our record of the money. So is any change we make to a balance by hand, with its reason.
- Signed-in devices: a device's sign-in is deleted 7 days after it ends (you sign out, it runs out, or you use Sign out everywhere).
- Links we email you (confirming your email, resetting your password): deleted 7 days after they are used or run out.
- Problem reports: 7 days.
- Player reports: 180 days. What we did about one (a name reset, a suspension, a ban), with its reason, stays with your account's record. A report about a Lobby message keeps a copy of that message for as long as the report.
- The Lobby: 30 days, then deleted. Deleting your player deletes your Lobby messages and the cards about you at once. A Lobby mute keeps its reason until it ends.
- Network-address counters: an hour at most.
- Server logs can hold the first part of your network address next to account events (signing in, saving an account, changing a password), and the full address when a fast connection fails to start. They have no fixed end date yet.
- Backups: a copy of the database is made every night and the last 7 are kept, so data you delete can stay in a backup for up to 7 days.
Your choices and rights
- Say no or yes to sharing your play data: the card on Home the first time, then Settings → Privacy.
- Delete my data (Settings → Privacy): deletes your play data from our servers (single events within minutes) and this device's event log, and turns sharing off. Your player and match stats stay.
- Tick Also delete my player to delete your name, level, friends, match history, Lobby messages, account, Brass and items too. Brass and items deleted this way can't be refunded or brought back, so refund unspent Brass first if you want the money back.
- In the Lobby, mute a player to hide their messages on your device, block them to hide them both ways, or turn on Hide public chat.
- Change your name in the game, and end your sessions with Sign out everywhere (Settings → Account).
- You can also ask to see your data or get a copy of it, correct it, or object to how we use it. Contact: Settings → Network → Send a report in the game (write your request in the note). Tell us your in-game name so we can find your player.
- If you think we got something wrong you can complain to your data protection authority: the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, South Africa's Information Regulator, or the authority where you live in the EU or UK.
Under 18?
Forged Force is for adults, 18 and over (Terms §1). If this device says you are under 18, the game keeps to training: no friends, name search, invites, voice or Lobby, and nobody can find your player. Your account keeps only that you said under 18, never the year. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data; a parent or guardian can tell us through the contact above. We never use play data to aim paid ads at anyone. Our own WorldStreet ads are about trading: they carry "Trading involves risk. 18+." and can be switched off in places that require it.
Keeping it safe
Every connection to the game is encrypted, passwords are kept only as one-way hashes, and access to the server is kept to our team. If a breach puts your data at risk, we'll tell you, and the authorities the law requires us to tell.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and ask again where your yes is needed.
